Hello all. Life has a way of throwing us curves once in a while., doesn't it. On Tuesday morning in the early AM, I think he said it was 3:00, Ed woke up with pain in his lower right abdomen. He tolerated it until about 5:00 and had me call the hospital and ask what appendicitis symptoms were like. Of course they couln't really be specific, as it is different for different people.
I went out and did the very early feeding, and then drove him to the emergency room. It turns out that he was having another kidney stone episode. They gave him a couple of pain shots, and a prescription for meds and sent us home.
And told us to make an appointment with the urologist. This is the same dr. that did his 'kidney stone disintrigration' about 7 years ago.
Well after doing some diagnostics, cat scan and x-rays, and some other stuff, it seems that this stone is stuck just short of getting into the bladder.
He has some pain off and on, but is doing ok.
On Friday morning they are going in to get it, and as his other kidney has stones in it too, they are going to blast them into itty bitty bits and they will pass out on their own. But this one has to be taken out as it hasn't passed and it is causing swelling and such up in the tube.
This is the fourth time he has had stones! He had one last summer too. They are going to do a metabolic something or other, I forgot what they called it. It involves some blood work and a urinalysis. It is to find out what is causing him to produce so many stones. Is there too much or too little of something? They will do that in about 2 weeks.

Ok, enough of that. Keep us in your prayers.

And then to top it off, my computer modem crashed! When it was so windy on Tuesday, the electricity went flashed off and on three times, quickly, and it messed something up in it. But...I'm back on line now, so everything is back to normal in that department.

I am still deciding on what to make for the tea party. Somewhere I have a book of weekend projects to make. Now if I can just find that book!!

Glad to hear Ed will be alright. Terry's aches and pains include constant, sever pain in his shoulder. and major pain when he lifts his left arm. Rotator cup problems I think. pain medication does not seem to help so he may have to have something done.

I was reading 'Our Daily Bread' and came across this, thought of you. After a pre-consert rehearsal in Newyork City's Carnegie Hall, Randall Atcheson sat on stage alone. He had successfully navigated the intricate piano compositions of Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt for the evening program, and with only minutes remaining before the doors opened, he wanted to play one more piece for himself. What ccame from his heart and his hands was an old hymn by Elisha Hoffman: 'What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blesses peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms.' Those words echo the truth in the final blessing of Moses: "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to help you, and in His excellency on the clouds. The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms" [Deut. 33:26-27]. What a gift we have in our own arms and hands-they can swing a hammer, hold a child, or help a friend. But while our strength is limited, God's boundless power on our behalf is expressed in might and gentle care. "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save"....."He will gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom" ....Whatever challange we face, there is security and peace in His everlasting arms.-David McCasland- The heavenly Father's arms never tire of holding His children.
